Kristen Stewart

An air of intelligent vulnerability separates Stewart from just about any young actress working today. She’s not a commanding diva, but a young woman still sensitive to the outside world and her own emotions. It might surprise you to go back to David Fincher’s “Panic Room” and rediscover Stewart as Jodie Foster’s daughter, upping the intensity with a portrait of genuine childhood terror.
She added “Zathura,” “Into the Wild” and “Adventureland” to her stable of conflicted characters, but the “Twilight” franchise made her a worldwide icon. Stewart held together two not-so-sturdily crafted films by playing Bella Swan as a girl out of her depths, reconciling the world of vampires with the instincts of her own heart. Stewart isn’t eye candy or the “it” girl. She’s the Everygirl, struggling with how to feel and how to act. That’s why she’s a movie star. We can relate

Yippie! En ny bild från The Runaways! Både Kristen och Dakota ser helt fantastiska ut.

Ett utdrag från artikeln:

"It's about 15-year-old rock stars, the rise and fall of kids," Linson said. "We're trying hard not to let that get taken away."
Profligate prop sake consumption aside, Fanning, who turns 16 next month, and Stewart, 19, appear side by side in an overwhelming majority of the movie's scenes. The two are shown snorting cocaine in an airplane bathroom as well as getting very up close and personal in what is sure to become one of "The Runaways' " primary talking points: a make-out scene in a roller rink that takes place about two-thirds of the way through the movie.
The scene was inspired by a remark Currie made in the rockumentary "Edgeplay: A Film About the Runaways," made by former band member Victory Tischler-Blue.
"In 'Edgeplay,' Cherie mentions that Joan is really good in bed," Sigismondi said. "I thought, 'I have to pry into this a bit. It will cause an explosion in the film. Why not go there?' "

Twilight / New Moon är nominerade i:

  • Worst Picture: New Moon
  • Director: New Moon
  • Worst Screen Couple: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner; Twilight
  • Screenplay: Twilight
  • Worst Prequel, Remake, Ripoff, Sequel: Twilight

Samt även Kristens co-stars:

  • Supporting Actor: Taylor Lautner; Twilight
  • Supporting Actor: Robert Pattinson; Twilight

Set in post-Katrina Louisiana, The Yellow Handkerchief is built around a love story, its brief, hopeful rise and dreadful collapse revealed in pungent flashbacks. These are the unbidden memories of William Hurt’s Brett, who, fresh out of prison and at seeming loose ends, hitches a ride south with a pair of unhappy teens, the self-pitying motormouth Gordy (English actor Eddie Redmayne), whose sole charm is his car, and Martine (Kristen Stewart), dumped by the boy she likes and her truck driver dad, who has gone on vacation with his girlfriend and left his 15-year-old daughter to fend for herself.

There’s an air of bruised fragility about this trio and also about May (Maria Bello), the gun-shy woman who threw Brett off her houseboat and out of her life. There’s also a whiff of sentimental cliché, but time and again it’s dispelled by Chris Menges’ acutely intelligent cinematography and the quality of the performances. Stewart does the kind of layered work that has made her one of the best young actors around. Martine is necessarily self-sufficient, but her anger and sadness are palpable, and she looks weary—rejection can do that to a girl. You’re relieved when she perks up and starts nudging Redmayne’s whiny Southern boy to do the same.

RottenTomatoes.com, the movie review aggregation site, has confirmed what most of us already know: “The Hurt Locker” and “Up” were two of 2009’s freshest movies.

But when it comes to video game adaptation “Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li”? The moldiest movie of the year, with a truly rotten 4 percent freshness rating.

The movie review Web site released its picks for best reviewed movies this morning – voted on by an RT list of film critics - and there were some consistent favorites.

Disney Pixar’s animated “Up” took the Golden Tomato for best-reviewed film in wide release, and Kathryn Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker” nabbed the golden piece of produce for best-reviewed feature in limited release. Both movies were just a few points shy of being 100 percent fresh on the Tomatometer.

The accolades for “Up” aren’t a huge surprise, since RT.com critics seem to really love their cartoons. In the 11 years the site has had the Golden Tomato awards, animated features have taken the best-reviewed film in wide release title eight times.

Other category winners were “Drag Me to Hell” for horror; “Crazy Heart” for musical; “Adventureland” for romance and “An Education” for drama. The honor of best user reviews went to indie hit “Zombieland.”

“The Hurt Locker” also won the title of “best action/adventure film in 2009,” prompting director and producer Bigelow to extend a heartfelt "thanks" to the Web site. “I’m grateful for your support of the film and am delighted that you have deemed it fresh,” she said.

“Star Trek” producer J.J Abrams, on the other hand, was “thrilled and honored to be determined ripe” by the site. By winning the “best sci-fi film in 2009” title, “Star Trek” cut off “Harry Potter” from being the most lauded franchise in Golden Tomato history.

For Pixar – which now has 16 Golden Tomatoes to their name – the award for “Up” was an “unprecedented honor.”

It’s not a bad predictor of what’s to come at the Oscars either: Since 2001, the Golden Tomato winner in the animation category has also taken home the Oscar for best animated feature six times.

How easy was it to maintain the emotional intensity of the chemistry between you and Robert Pattinson given that you spend so much time apart in this one?

Kristen Stewart: Well, to miss something it has to go away. It was easier to play Bella in New Moon because I got to go through the experience of Twilight.I do think that this movie stands alone if it wasn't a sequel because the story makes sense. But I wouldn't have been able to play it because I wouldn't have known... obviously I don't know what it feels like to be in love with a vampire and feel literally physically altered. But it's because the descriptions in the book are so visceral and sensory. It's first-person narrative so you know exactly what she's feeling all the time. As for how we maintained intensity... the story is really intense and that's what we were supposed to do.

Do you ever find yourself making personal choices for Bella that don't accord with what author Stephenie Meyer may have written?

Kristen Stewart: No. Everyone knew what they were getting involved with even though we weren't aware of the massive attention it would get. The books were written and we're all still doing the movie for the same reason we started doing it. All we want to do is tell the story and be as faithful as we can... and that's what the fans want as well.
